The 4th and 5th grade GT students overcame a lot of obstacles this year and had wonderful successes in our GT program. Since we were unable to have an in-person parent evening, Ms. Coomer designed a website to showcase student accomplishments and work. Check out our Summer PTP Camp pictures below of those entering 1st and 2nd grade for 2021-22 school year!
Students read Woody: The Adoption and Woody: A New Home by Kentucky Author, Leigh Anne Florence. They were able to meet the author and characters of the book, Woody and Chloe! Students also participated in kindness/leadership activities with blessings bags, learned about National Parks, engaged in creative writing, and conducted measurement of their geometric dogs.

Students read Mr. Dogwood Goes to Washington by Kentucky Author, Leigh Anne Florence. They were able to meet the author and characters of the book, Woody and Chloe! Students also participated in learning all about the 4th of July and Washington D.C. They learned about the Bill of Rights, Constitution, Declaration of Independence, history of the flag, monuments, museums, and memorials in D.C. They engaged in creative writing and craft activities too!
